Her parents had been married in Bawinkel parish so that same parish's baptism records were checked and a corresponding birth/bapt entry was found there for Maria Gesina Angela. Information about the children was from an index of baptisms at Immaculate Conception parish, Loose Creek, MO.

SOURCES: Linda supplied much of the information and the same was found in Dave Halm's WorldConnect database. Another TRANEL in Menominee was thought to have come from Lohen (Lohne) so the parish records of Schepsdorf were checked and an entry was found there for Johan Heinrich. The burial information was in the cemetery listings on the Jo Daviess County GenWeb page. The children were from the 1870 census and are also listed in Dave Halm's WorldConnect database.

SOURCES: Joh Heinrich Albert's wife's name was known from the baptismal record at St. Joseph's of their child born in 1853. Entries were found for him, his wife and two children in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika. His date and place of birth, parents name, wife's name, marriage information and year of emigration were on that entry. It appears he was baptized in Bawinkel parish, much closer to Bramhar than Bokeloh which was really the parish for the village of Bramhar.

Johan Herman's first marriage was at St Francis Xavier parish. The children's information was all from records at St. Joseph parish.

Helena's month and year of birth were noted on the 1900 census. Her name as Helena Catharine Trossel was noted on the baptismal or death records of several of ther chidlren. A similar name was recognized on the Holte parish emigration list so that parish's records were checked and a corresponding birth/bapt record was found there for Helena Catharine 3 years before the census date. Her marriage was at St Mary's parish.
