SOURCES: Helena's parents' names were on her marriage record in 1879. Her approximate year of birth was known from her age on the passenger list of the ship Anna Delius and on the 1880 census. All three of her husbands were from Boerger parish so that parish's records were checked and a corresponding entry found there also for Helena. Her first marriage was at St Peter and Paul parish, her second and third at St Joseph in Meppen, IL.
