Her place of birth and surname were noted on her marriage record. Bawinkel parish records were checked and a corresponding birth/bapt entry was found there from her. Gross Hesepe parish records were checked and a corresponding entry found there for Johan Herman. Passenger list information was taken from the FTM cd index to the Germans to America series of books. He was not listed with his son's family on the 1880 Cole County census.
