With that information a corresponding entry was found for him in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika. That entry provided his date and place of birth, parents' names, and emigration information. The names of the wife and two of the children were from the history and information on the son, Gerhard, was from Death Register entries of St. Boniface Catholic Church, supplied by Ingrid. She found the date of marriage in the Illinois Statewide Mariage Index 1763-1900.
