SOURCES:

Anna Maria's date of birth was on her tombstone. That allowed an entry for her to be identified in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika which gave her place of birth, parents' names and year of emigration but not exact date of birth. Lingen parish records were checked and a corresponding entry was found there for her 9 days earlier than the tombstone date. An entry in the Tenfelde book for her daughter Theresia, with whom she was living in 1880 and 1900, confirmed the identification.
