SOURCES: This ID is not 100% certain because 3 persons named Maria Anna FOPPE were born in Lengerich parish 1818-20.
According to the passenger list of the ship Elaro and the 1850 census, Maria Anna was born ca 1820, probably in Lengerich. Her parents' names were not known from any documents but Catharine Bentken, wife of Bernard Anton Foppe, was a marriage witness at Maria Anna's marriage. One of the Maria Annas born 1818-20 was Bernard Anton's sister and is presumed to be the wife of Joh Hch Stroot. Information about children was from censuses.
