Johan Gerhard's age (32) and parents' names were on his death record at St Boniface parish. His sister Maria Gesina, who also had lived in Clinton County, was known to have been born in Klein Dohren so Dr Remme's online database of Herzlake parish records was checked and a corresponding birth/bapt entry was found there for Johan Gerhard 3 years later than his age at death indicated. Another brother, Johan Bernard, was born in 1837 but the death record had the name as Johan Gerhard and a Johan Gerhard Book did emigrate from Herzlake parish in 1868 so it is presumed his age at death was noted incorrectly.

RESEARCHERS: Lisa Cosby who has this emigrant in her WorldConnect database as Anna Maria (Catharine)
SOURCES:

Maria Catharine's surname was known from Lisa Cosby's WCdb. Her approximate year of birth was known from her age on the 1880 census. That allowed a tentative ID for her to be made in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika which supplied parents' names and place of birth as Spelle, the same village where her husband was born. Supporting this ID was another entry in the Tenfelde book for Johan Gerhard Borg born in 1832 with the same parents, corresponding to Maria's brother George on the 1880 census. Information about children was from the 1880 census and the WCdb.

SOURCES: Information about Anna Gesina was known from family research and from the book Auswanderungsliste fuer die fruehere Pfarrgemeinde Twist in den Jahren 1838 - 1910 nach Amerika which gave her birthdate as Dec 14, 1834. Twist parish records were checked and a corresponding entry found there for Anna Gesina a couple of weeks later than the date given in the Twist book. The parents' names as noted above were taken from that record. The marriage date is from Dutch records and is about 3 months earlier than the date given in the Twist book. Death information was taken from a family history. The Twist book listed one child born in 1863 in Holland, but family history and censuses list a child with the same name born 1867-68 in Holland. It is not clear if these were references to the same child or to two different children. Information about the other children was mostly from a family history.

Anna Maria 40
Catharina 9, Margaritha 7, Helena Adelaida 4, Maria Adelaide 2, Maria Angela 1
They were added at the end of census (emigrated in 1840)
SOURCES: Herman Heinrich's approximate date of birth was known from his age on the passenger list of the ship Johan George and on the Father Helias census. An entry was found for him and his family in the book Auswanderungsliste fuer die fruehere Pfarrgemeinde Twist in den Jahren 1838 - 1910 nach Amerika which gave his parents' names and listed birthdates for all of his children and said Herman Heinrich was from Schwartenberg and his wife from Lindloh, both in Ruetenbrock parish. His birth/baptism record was not found in Ruetenbrock but was found in the neighboring parish of Wesuwe.
It appears that the family either moved away from central MO before 1850 or all members of the family except daughter Angela died before the census of that year. There is a gap of several years in the Father Helias' death records in the late 1840s so the fate of this family may never be known with certainty.

SOURCES: Johan Heinrich's approximate year of birth was known from his age at death, as stated in Cletus and Diane Hoer's book Deaths occuring in or near Westphalia…. An entry was also found for him in the online Emsbueren Datenbank listing his birthdate and parents as presented above. That entry said his wife was Anna Margaretha Greiten born ca 1805 in Schepsdorf although MOdocuments indicate her birth was 1811-1816.  Some of the children's information came from Cletus Hoer's book Baptisms performed in or near Westphalia… Additionally several names appeared on various censuses that were not mentioned in the Hoer book and they were also added to the list of children above.
